The culminating student-led conference for the 2023-2024 academic year was held successfully on Friday, June 28th. This innovative approach empowered students to showcase their learning journeys and work directly to their parents. It fostered a strong home-school connection, promoting collaborative support for student growth.

6月28日,周五,在融合部小学英文班,成功举行了2023-2024学年的学生主导家长会议。这次会议为学生提供了一个很好的机会,让他们向家长展示自己的学习过程和作品。同时,这也是加强家校合作、共同支持学生成长的有益平台。

Student-led conferences play a vital role in the IB-PYP learning journey as they empower students to take ownership of their learning process, fostering responsibility and enhancing their management and communication skills. During these conferences, students act as mini-teachers, guiding parents through their academic achievements across various subjects. Additionally, parents have the opportunity to review their child's growth portfolio, gaining valuable insights into their semester-long development and progress.                                                         

学生主导型家长会是IB-PYP学习旅程中必不可少的一部分,它使学生能够更好地掌握自己的学习进程,为自己的学习负责,同时也有助于提高学生的组织能力、交流能力。学生们将主导这场会议,变成一位小老师,向家长展示自己各学科的学习成果。家长们还观看了孩子的成长档案,了解孩子一学期以来的成长与进步。


Student-led conferences provide a relaxed and enjoyable platform for communication between students, parents, and teachers. They foster a deeper understanding between home and school, promoting student growth together. By cultivating a sense of ownership in students, strengthening communication skills, encouraging reflection, building stronger home-school relationships, and instilling lifelong learning skills, student-led conferences can better promote the holistic development of students.
