It’s a wonderful and marvelous day.
At 6:30, I was awoken and after the nutrient breakfast, Don and his wife Kathleen drove me to the church in another state Delaware. The church is situated in Wilmington about 70 miles away from their home in Pennsylvania.
It took us about an hour to get to the church which is some modern. I was attracted and moved deeply by the holy ceremony. A penetrative song sung by a black lady with the choir with a modern band gave a deep impression on me. The beautiful song rocked the church and the hearts of the people in it, and perhaps flew into Heaven where God lives. “Holy, Holy, Holy, I want to see you!” The repetition of the last line of the song struck everyone. Everyone in the church had to follow it and entered the state of adoring God.
Then several Christians made speeches about their thinking, their life in which God gives them instructions or helps them out of trouble.
The bishop of the church read and explained some chapter of the
Bible. All the people in the church react to his moving Gospel. The whole holy ceremony approached its climax.
Before the end of the ceremony, some Christians including my host family Don and his wife donated some money to the church with which the church will help the poor with little food to eat and without enough clothes to wear in the countries of Latin America.
The church ended up with a holy song for God.
Don and his wife are both devout Christians. They go to church every Sunday no matter it is windy or rainy. About 60 percent of the Americans believe in God. Most of them can behave themselves according to the Gospel of the Bible. They worship God, adore nature, love each other and try their best not to do wrong. So they work diligently, live peacefully and are kind to everyone even if he was once their enemy. I think this is one of the reasons why the United States has a high standard of morality. I see with my own eyes that they never lock their doors when they are not at home except that they go traveling.
After going to church, we had a long walk along the Delaware Bay against the hot sun. We all enjoyed the walk and felt comfortable both in and out of our minds.
What a lovely day it is today! I’ll never forget it.
